This is a team effort, a "We the People" campaign. It is time that We the People regain control of our government. Renew the pro-constitutional values of our Republic which our founding fathers fought and died for, and to bring about a renewal of FREEDOM. Our freedoms have been endowed to us by our Creator, and shall not be denied us by government nor by any other entity. We have allowed our government to grow into a monster from which we must get permission before we catch a fish. We the People have had our rights slowly and strategically stolen from us and have been over burdened by taxation and small business over regulation. If elected, I will work to make sure that the federal government lives within the enumerated powers that the Constitution had directed it to live within. Our Constitution was written to have the Federal government be "limited" in scope and the powers it has, as well as respect those powers not enumerated to it under the 10th Amendment. We must reinstate our Constitution. Curb the power grab of Congress, which has trampled the rights of states and individuals. If I am elected to Congress in Oregon's 3rd District, I will work to restore the pro-constitutional principals which our founding fathers fought and died for.
Universal Healthcare has now shown its "true colors". We have seen the issues that ObamaCare will bring about in an already troubled economy. As we have seen rising unemployment, and with this healthcare bill that had been passed, the government will have to raise the cost of workers. The bill stipulates that employers will have to provide health insurance to their employees and if they do not, they will have to pay, in essence a tax if they do not provide health insurance. We have also seen that all Americans will be "required" to purchase insurance that meets government requirements. If individuals already have insurance and do not need government mandated insurance, individuals might be told they must "switch" to another insurance that meets the government's requirement of "acceptable insurance". The Federal Government will also set up an insurance plan for individuals that do not have insurance. This will be much like Medicare to promote "competition" to private health insurers. Individuals will be able to either choose a private insurance carrier or utilize the taxpayer-subsidized health insurance. It is obvious that the Federal Government will want individuals to move to the "government plan".
These are some of the issues that have shown themselves from the healthcare bill, but we do not yet know the full extent of the bill. New "revelations" are coming out everyday. We are at a time in our history that adversely high unemployment and tax revenues have been shrinking to the Federal Government, this is not the time to "experiment" with socialized medicine. Socialized medicine has already proved to be both adverse in its care of individuals and costly. We will see the fruition of individuals waiting in lines for service, not being able to access the best of medical technology, and being "mandated" to purchase insurance. If a individual does not, will be fined and have a knock at the door by the IRS. These moves are both invasive and I believe unconstitutional. If elected, my goal will to be to push real reform utilizing the private sector.
We need to stop the destruction of our rights, stop policing the world, and take care of our citizens that are depending on us. Stop the federal governments expanding power over the states. We have got to protect and defend our constitution against the threat from our government! Join me!
